"Begin recording:

 

The Reaent remains on course for Earth. Some repairs have been completed but I am rather certain the yard operators will want to spend some more extensive time pulling apart some of Mr. McLean's work. I'm equally certain our Chief Engineer won't exactly be pleased.

 

Our return to Earth has caused a change in the crew rotation schedule. Instead of taking place three months from now, rotation will commence once we've arrived. I am certain there will be some departures no one is pleased with but thus is the way Starfleet operates.

 

For the duration of our return trip home, I have left Commander Ridire in charge of the bridge. I will be taking some much needed rest, hoping nothing else catastrophic takes place between now and then.
