The Shuttle Danube has crash-landed on a barren planetoid located 9 hours

from its destination, Starbase 36.

Captain Chirakis remains in serious condition and Commander Linus is in

command.

Though we are fairly confident of search and rescue from the base, we

have yet to hear from anyone.

With Orion pirates in orbit and our shuttle barely spaceworthy we have

chosen to hide under a large outcropping and run silent until the pirates

leave.

Supplies are running short and although we have found a trickling source

of water, getting to it is a problem because of the pirates.

The sun has risen and the extreme heat is seriously taxing our systems.

During our 3 hour TBS, a small ship has landed on the opposite side of

the planetoid and life signs have been detected approaching our position.
