Cookies and Other Tracking Technologies
Some of STSF's Web pages utilize "cookies" and other tracking technologies. A "cookie" is a small text file that may be used, for example, to collect information about Web
site activity. Some cookies and other technologies may serve to recall Personal Information previously indicated by a Web user. Most browsers allow for control of cookies,
including whether or not to accept them and information on how to remove them.
Anyone may set his/her browser to send a notification upon receipt of a cookie, or block cookies entirely but please note that if they are erased or blocked, Users will need to
re-enter their user IDs and passwords to gain access to certain parts of our Web site.
Tracking technologies may record information such as Internet domain and host names; Internet protocol (IP) addresses; browser software and operating system types;
clickstream patterns; and dates and times that STSF is accessed. STSF's use of cookies and other tracking technologies allows for the improvement of the Web site. STSF
may also analyze information that does not contain Personal Information for trends and statistics.
To protect User privacy, STSF has adopted the following principles:
- Notice
- Choice
- Security
- Access/Accuracy
Notice
STSF will not transfer Personal Information, without consent, to third parties who are not bound to act on STSF's behalf unless such transfer is legally required.
Choice
Users may choose whether or not to provide Personal Information to STSF. Any notice of collection of Personal Information should help Users make this choice. If Users choose
not to provide the Personal Information requested, they can still visit most of the Web sites, but may be unable to access certain options, offers, and services that involve interaction
with other Users.
Security
STSF intends to take reasonable and appropriate steps to protect the User's Personal Information from unauthorized access or disclosure.
Access/Accuracy
Where STSF collects Personal Information from Users, the goal is to provide a means of contacting STSF should Users need to update or correct that information. If for any reason
those means are unavailable or inaccessible, Users may send updates and corrections about their Personal Information to privacy@stsf.net and STSF will make reasonable efforts
to incorporate the changes in any Personal Information as soon as practicable.
Records and Logging
STSF reserves the right to log all activity on the site, including the message boards, the chatrooms, or in third party chat rooms used by STSF simulations. These logs may contain
information that is traceable to the User's character, board identity, IP address or a third-party instant messenger identity. Some of these records, including simulation chat logs, may
be made publicly available on the web site. Other information, such as IP address or deleted posts, may be kept privately for archival or administrative purposes.
Third Party Services
Third parties provide certain services available on stsf.net on STSF's behalf. STSF may provide information, including Personal Information that STSF collects on the Web, to third-party
service providers to help deliver programs, products, information, and services. STSF will take reasonable steps to ensure that these third-party service providers are obligated to protect
Personal Information on STSF's behalf.
STSF will not transfer Personal Information without Users' consent to third parties who are not bound to act on STSF's behalf unless such transfer is legally required. Similarly, it is against
STSF's policy to sell Personal Information collected online without consent.
Passwords
STSF and its authorized representatives will never ask for any User's passwords. Any attempts to obtain passwords should be reported immediately.
Children's Privacy
STSF's site is not structured to attract children. Accordingly, we do not intend to collect Personal Information from anyone we know to be under thirteen years of age. In fact, the
message boards and chatrooms of STSF should not be used by anyone under thirteen years of age.

explained where STSF collects Personal Information on the Web. Should the Online Privacy Policy change, STSF will take every reasonable step to ensure that these changes are
brought to Users' attention by posting all changes prominently on our web site for a reasonable period of time.
