Commander Erich Jaenke
Lieutenant Commander Bren Faliver

Chief Medical Officer:
Lieutenant Commander Vilanne Chalice {Vilanne}
Name: Vilanne Chalice
Race: Human
Gender: Female
Biographical Information
Vilanne was born on Terra, Earth. Her parents are NOT dead. She completed standard medical studies, and passed the medical exam the first try,
but not with blazing colors or high scores, just A's and B's. She is average, in height, and weight and doesn't stand out remarkably. She finished
Starfleet Training just after medical school, with thoughts of becomming a Star Fleet officer since she was a child. She's bright, but NOT a 150+
Genius type, her IQ is actually only 122. Her goal was to seek out new planetary species, study them and continue to fight disease in all the
universes. She has many family members, to be revealed as we get going. She, and they, all seem quite normal.

Chief Engineer:
Commander Erich Jaenke {Erich Jaenke}
Name: Erich Jaenke
Rank: Commander
Department: Engineering
Species: Betazoid
Gender: Male
Age: Mid 20s
Hair: Curly brown
Build: Average
EDUCATION
Primary and secondary education in the capital city of Rixx and first two years of university studies at the
University of Betazed. Initially took courses in applied physics, but a professor suggested engineering may be
a better fit for this fresh student. Transferred to majors related to utility networks (data, fluids, power)
captured his interest and garnered him an Associates degree. He took a quarter off to decide how to proceed with
his education, but his issues with living among a vast majority of telepaths weighed heavily. After narrowing down
several choices, the next class at Starfleet Academy accepted his application. He was off to San Francisco on Earth
for training in various engineering fields. Four years later he emerged somewhere in upper middle of his class in
recycling and waste utility work, with minors in network and power distribution. He waited a few months for his first
Starfleet posting.
MEDICAL HISTORY
Normal health for a Betazed his age. One thing of note is his either dormant or subdued telepathic abilities. The
medical history of this ailment is vague. No known treatments have been applied to help him, but otherwise nothing
is wrong with him at this time.
PSYCHOLOGICAL PROFILE
A quiet introvert who often goes out of his way to avoid large crowds and people in general. Telepathic abilities
untested and thought to be dormant or very subdued. Has a keen interest in structures both on small scales (fits
into the hand) to large ones (buildings, large stations). Spends a lot of time reading fiction and engineering
publications. No known girlfriend or significant other. Childhood on Betazed appears bereft of either tragedy or
bliss. While most of his classmates of Betazed origin procured medical or counseling fields of study, his interest
remained in the engineering disciplines.

Chief Science Officer:
Lieutenant Commander Bren Faliver {BrenFaliver}
Name: Bren Faliver
Rank: Lieutenant, Junior Grade
Species: Haliian (Enaran)
Gender: Male
Background
Bren has an unusual background for a Starfleet officer. A scientist by education he was allowed to attend Starfleet
Academy despite lacking some qualifications via an exchange program. He excelled at the life sciences in particular,
writing a final thesis demonstrating minor, but new, developments in sensor technology as applied to life sciences.
After graduating he resumed duty in the diplomatic corps, again as an exchange position rather than enlisting properly.
SFR-03-5931-0943 was invoked some years later to move him into a more active field role with Starfleet.
He is an amateur pilot, capable of handling shuttlecraft and similar small vessels. He was never trained or formally cleared
to fly large starships (but he's always dreamed of jumping in during an emergency and getting to try it--Hey, the nacelles always
point back, bridge forward, and no warp until clear of the dock, right? How hard can it be!)
In addition to his general science education and advanced specialty in life sciences he completed fundamental "pre-med" and
"pre-vet" coursework. While not qualified as a medic, Bren is capable of performing first aid on many humanoid and common animal
species as a result. Animals, in particular, seem to like him, perhaps finding his natural empathetic field pleasant.
Bren is a non-combatant and, other than the bare minimum training in the Academy, has no experience with normal combat (melee/phasers).
In a combat situation he will use technology or tactics to find safety or support combatants, but will only fight as a last resort.
He is not a pacifist, however, just unskilled, and owns an antique mek'leth. He swings it while pacing his quarters or the lab when he
needs to focus. The only notable exception is vehicle weaponry, in which case he allows the computer to handle most of the work and j
ust presses "the big yellow Fire button" as he once remarked to the dismay of an instructor.
Notes on Species
Haliians have a limited form of telepathy; they can receive messages, but only project an empathic sense of emotion. They all emit a
passive telepathic field" with a mild emotional charge. In Bren's case it inspires a mild sense of euphoria/joy in species that can
sense it [most, except ones like Ferengi].)
